Town Board Candidate: Susan Berland [VIDEO]

Incumbent Democrat seeks reelection after more than a decade on the Town Board.

Longtime Town Board member Susan Berland seeks to contune serving the Town of Huntington.

Elected to the Town Board in November of 2001, she said she is most proud of bringing town meetngs to TV.

"I beleive in fair and accountable government and by bringing these meetings to your home you can see what's happening in the town then choose whether you want to come in and see us about issues," said Berland, a Democrat.

An attorney by trade, Berland said she will continue to serve full-time as a Town Board member if elected.

The married mother of four touted anti-blight legislation, passed recently by the Town Board, and anti-graffitti legislation with the Huntington Station Business Improvement District as accomplishments.

Berland is a graduate of the Hofstra University School of Law and of the State University of New York at Albany.
