The Huntington Town Board unanimously approved last week a resolution authorizing the Long Island Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Services Network to stage a festival in June 9.
The LIGLBT event, to feature live performances on the Harry Chapin Rainbow Stage, beer and wine tasting and a food court, will begin at noon and end at 8 p.m.
Certain unspecified roads will be closed in Huntington from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for the parade, according to the resolution approved at a May 22 meeting.
