They say all politics is local, but when it comes to voter turnout in local elections, the figures often suggest a large amount of apathy among the public.
In the 2011, fewer than 25 percent of registered voters cast ballots for Huntington Town elected offices.
That begs the question, why are people not voting in local elections? Our new open blog, The Soapbox - Huntington Gov't hopes to be the place where locals can debate these kinds of issues in town.
