Target Rock Refuge Closed

Federal government shutdown hits closer to home in Huntington.

With the shutdown of the federal government in its second day, the closings began to hit home for some in Huntington.

Target Rock National Wildlife Refuge in Lloyd Harbor was among the many national parks around the country closed to the public for a second day.

A small white sign hanging on the gate reads "Refuge closed do (sic) to government shutdown" while a much larger sign says that the site is closed to the public and warns people not to enter the grounds.

Are you a federal employee? Or are you involved in a program affected by the closing? Please tell us in the comments.
