Because of the inclement weather, the Dix Hills Ice Rink will be closed Monday morning. And Town Hall will open at 10:30 a.m. instead of 9.
The rink is scheduled to reopen for the public skate at 1:30 p.m.
The town rink officially unveiled its newest slab of ice last week in a ceremony that including a former Olympic skater, a former Islander and several town officials. The new $16-million, 43,232 square-foot addition more than doubles the original size and adds many amenities, including a new food concession, locker rooms, party rooms and skate rental area.
