Town Sets Sandy Tax Relief Hearings in December

Public sessions set for Dec. 6, Dec. 10 at Town Hall.

The Town Board has scheduled several public hearings, including:

Dec. 6, 9 a.m. to consider:

Local law 31-2013 to provide assessment and tax relief to property owners affected by Superstorm Sandy.

and

Dec. 10, 7 p.m. to consider:

  • Local Law 32-2013 amendments to the code for building construction building permits and certificates of occupancy
  • Local Law 33-2013 amending the zoning map to change from R-5 Residence District to C-1 Office-Residence District for the property on the west side of Lowndes Avenue between Railroad Street and Columbia Street.
  • Local Law 34-2013 amending the zoning map to change the zoning from C-6 general Business District to c-6 Huntington Station Overlay District for property located on the south side of Railroad Street, east of Lowndes Avenue.
  • Local Law 35-2013 amending the code C-6 Huntington Station Overlay District to add a special use permit for hotels
  • Local Law 36-2013 amending the code on subdivision regulations and site improvement specifications
  • Local Law 37-2013 amending town code on industrial districts and light industry district.
