Resident Says Agents Blocked Off Street

Department of Homeland Security silent on Valley Lane activities.

A Huntington woman said a "SWAT team" of Department of Homeland Security agents blocked off her street for four hours Monday night in an unsuccessful attempt to make an arrest.

The Valley Lane resident, who did not want to be identified, said the agents told people to stay inside and lock their doors while they looked to arrest a male neighbor. She said the man they were seeking had lived in the area for about three years but that he escaped their efforts.

The department declined to take questions by phone and said to submit inquiries by email only. It did not acknowledge having received that email from Huntington Patch.

No further information was available.

Is this story going to be updated any time soon? Pretty certain I heard it was a guy selling drugs.

Hi, Janet, DHS won't respond to inquiries but if we get more information, we certainly will post it.

Thanks, Pam! I didn't mean for that sound to sound snippy :) I realize re-reading that's how it sounds.

Hi, Janet, not at ALL. Glad you asked. I've got another email in to DHS. Maybe they'll respond.

I heard there was an arrest today. By the police, not DHS though.
