Photo: WWII Vets Salute the Flag
Retired veterans take part in Flag Day ceremony with elected officials.
WWII veterans residing at the Bristal Assisted Living Community in East Northport participated in a Flag Day ceremony on Saturday.
They were joined by members of American Legion Post 1244 of Greenlawn and Marine Corp Detachment Unit 792 of Huntington in a Flag Day ceremony led by Suffolk County Legislator, Steve Stern, the Chair of the Suffolk County’s Veterans and Seniors Committee.
Among those taking part in the observance were Dominic Denezzo, Stewart Rigo, Murray Glazer, John Doht, Sam Frisina, Charles Fatone, and Dennis Giunta.
