Comptroller's Resignation Accepted by Petrone

Tracy Yogman calls it quits after four years at Town Hall.

The Town of Huntington annouced Wednesday the resignation of Tracy Yogman as director of the Department of Audit and Control, effective April 20. 

Yogman has accepted a position with an unnamed not-for-profit organization, according to a town press release.

In four years of town service, Yogman provided invaluable service as comptroller, according to town officials.

"All Huntington taxpayers have benefited from Tracy’s efforts to help me control spending so that taxes remain low, even as services remain high," said Town Supervisor in a release. "We will all miss her sound counsel and fiscal management." 

Petrone said he wished Yogman well in her new job, "which in addition to career advancement, pays more than the town can offer in these challenging fiscal times."

Yogman's salary was $123,164 in 2010, according to findthedata.org.

Andrew Persich, Yogman's deputy, will act as interim comptroller as a town officials search for a replacement. Applicants may e-mail qualifications to Town Personnel Director Lisa Baisley at lbaisley@HuntingtonNY.gov.

Yogman was unavailable for comment Wednesday.
