A highly-touted citizen request management system which began March 1 has been taken offline at .
"Due to technical difficulties, Huntington @ Your Service, the Town’s citizen request management system, is unavailable," according to a statement on the Town's website.
Town officials say the issues that caused the disruption are being addressed and they hope to have the system working soon.
In the meantime, the Town is encouraging residents seeking information to try using the search function of the Town’s website. Those with urgent requests should call 631-365-6834.
Supervisor Frank Petrone that Connecticut-based QScend Technologies of Waterbury was awarded a two-year, $16,000 contract to implement the program which he said would make it easier for residents to file requests for action online and through smart phones.
