Huntington to Vote for Town Officials, Legislators

2 Town Board spots, legislative seats and receiver of taxes on the ballot.

Residents of the Town of Huntington will be casting votes for several candidates in Tuesday's election.

Four candidates are running for Town Board: Republicans businessman and Huntington Bay mayor , and the two Democratic incumbents, and .  is running for Town Board as an independent, looking for write-in votes.

Town Clerk , a Republican, is running for re-election unopposed, while Receiver of Taxes , a Democrat, is seeking re-election against businessman , a Republican.

In addition, Democrat is seeking to replace Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy, running against Republican .

Three Suffolk County legislative seats, the 16th, 17th and 18th are contested.

The 16th race features incumbent , a Democrat, and challenger , a Republican.

The 17th has incumbent Democrat and Republican challenger .

And the 18th, open with the impending retirement of Majority Leader Jon Cooper of Lloyd Harbor, has Republican pitted against Democrat Dr. .
