Paramount Theater owners thank the town on opening night.

At a champagne reception Sept. 29, members of the Huntington Town Board welcomed the Paramount Theater to Huntington Village.

Before the newly-renovated theater on New York Avenue held its grand opening concert headlined by Elvis Costello, theater partners presented Board members with an autographed guitar with an inscription thanking the town for its efforts in helping smooth the way for their venture to proceed.

The Paramount is located at the site of the former Huntington Theater, which for 25 years operated as the Inter Media Arts Center before closing in 2009.
