Huntington Notebook: Blight Mapping System; Berland Drops Puck

Town to hold meeting Tuesday to discuss plan platform, objectives.

A crisis mapping initiative is being planned which will allow Huntington residents a means to report blight complaints online.

By using the new program, a blight management module will be accessible under the heading of Public Safety, Code Enforcement and Security to notify the town of residential and commercial blight, graffiti, abandoned vehicles and litter, according to a town press release.

A March 13 meeting, hosted by Town Councilman Mark Mayoka, has been scheduled in room 304 at Town Hall to discuss development of the blight crisis management mapping platform and objectives. The meeting begins at 2 p.m. and is open to the public.
