Groups to Explain Ideas for Station

Greater Huntington Civic Group to host Renaissance Downtowns, Vision LI.

Two organizations with ideas about the future of Huntington Station will speak at the Greater Huntington Civic Group Thursday.

Renaissance Downtowns, the master developer hired by the Town of Huntington to revitalize the Station, and Vision Long Island, which works on "smart growth" planning, will present their ideas.

Representing their organizations are Ryan Porter, vice president of planning and development for Plainview-based Renaissance and Eric Alexander, executive director of Vision Long Island.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at VFW Post #1469  at 210 W. Pulaski Road, Huntington Station.

Renaissance has been collecting ideas from the community through Source the Station, holding meetings and asking people to vote online for their favorite projects.
