Annual Budget Vote and Trustee Election

The South Huntington Public Library will hold its annual budget vote and trustee election on Tuesday, April 3 from 3-10 p.m. in the meeting room on the lower level. The proposed 2012-13 operating budget calls for an increase of 1.71 percent, which translates to an annual increase of about $11.40 for the average property owner. Copies of the budget are available at the library or on the website. Also on April 3, Trustee John Eberhardt is running unopposed for a five-year term on the library board.

VOTING INFORMATION
To vote on April 3, you must be at least 18, a U.S. citizen and a resident of the South Huntington School District (#13) for at least 30 days. If you are not registered to vote, you may do so on April 3. Identification proving residency is required.
