The office of Suffolk County Legislative Majority Leader Jon Cooper reports that he had emergency appendectomy surgery Friday. The surgery was a success, and Cooper is recovering well, his aides said.
To honor Jon's and his family's requests for privacy, no further details will be made public at this time.
The Cooper family is extremely grateful for the outpouring of concern, get well wishes and prayers from friends and neighbors. In lieu of flowers or other gifts, Jon and his family are requesting donations be made to the Huntington Community Food Council Inc., located at 90 East 5th St., in Huntington Station, (631) 351- 1060.
