Battening Down as Weather Turns Rough

A quick, early morning tour around Huntington reveals work to get ready for Hurricane Sandy.

Wind whistled around the boats docked at Milldam Marina Monday morning and a small harbormaster's boat was hauled from the water for safekeeping.

Around Huntington, a handful of people were walking their dogs before Hurricane Sandy made getting around too difficult. Workers were collecting at the town Highway Department site on Oakwood Road.
