Would You Leave a Child in a Car Alone?

Arrests of adults pose question for parents and others.

A child-care worker was arrested this week on charges of leaving two youngsters in a locked car in the Costco parking lot in Melville.

Police said the Amityville woman left the two children, one age four and the other 8 months old, at least 10 minutes before they were found.

Last year, an Old Brookville mother was arrested after leaving her 1-year-old in a car at the Big H shopping center in Huntington Station.

Have you ever left a child, perhaps one taking a nap, in a car while you ran into a store? Do you think it's ever proper to do so?

Should the adult who does so be arrested?

Please tell us in the comments.
