A woman was struck by a car on Main Street Saturday morning.
Passersby and at least one relative were on the scene to assist her before Suffolk County police and an ambulance arrived.
A woman who identified herself as the mother of the injured pedestrian said her daughter had struck her head.
The accident occurred about 10:30 a.m., just east of Green Street.
said the woman, who is 27 years old, was taken to Huntington Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
