Wanted: Bass Amp Thief
Police searching for woman who stole equipment from music store.
Police are searching for a woman who walked off with a bass amp from a Melville music store Aug. 15.
At about 8:40 p.m., a female entered Murphy’s Music at 447 Route 110 in Melville with a male counterpart before taking a Terror Bass Amp valued at $819.00, according to a police report. The woman then left the store without paying for the merchandise.
Anyone with information about this larceny is asked to call 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential, according to police. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
