Teenager Shot in Leg During Huntington Station Party

Female victim was transported to Huntington Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Suffolk County Police Department detectives are currently investigating a shooting that injured a 16-year-old girl at a Huntington Station party early Sunday morning.

Second Precinct officers responded to a disturbance that occurred during the party near Tower Street and Allison Court in Huntington Station at approximately 1:25 a.m., according to police. When officers arrived, they discovered a 16-year-old girl had been shot in the leg.

According to witnesses, attendees at a party were dispersing after a number of small fights had broken out when someone fired several shots along Tower Street, causing partygoers to flee the scene.

Police said the victim was transported to Huntington Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The SCPD's investigation of this incident is continuing.
