Suffolk Police Incidents: Attempted Break-Ins; Assault

Incidents reported in the second precinct, June 9-14.

The following incidents were reported by the Suffolk County Police in the second precinct between June 9-14.

  • A door was pried open and the door frame damaged from an apparent break-in attempt at a Harriet Lane, Huntington home. Nothing was reported stolen.
  • While sitting in living room, a resident of a Nassau Road, Huntington home heard a loud noise. Another resident noticed the door frame was cracked from an apparent break-in attempt. Nothing was reported stolen.
  • A man was walking with headphones on in front of the post office on Gerard Street in Huntington when he was approached by two men and punched in the back of the head. The two men then fled.
  • A man slapped a person in the face on Fort Salonga Road in Northport. 
  • A boat trailer was stolen from a parking space on Wall Street in Huntington.
  • An unknown person struck a man above the eye causing a laceration. The subject then fled. The man was transported to the hospital for treatment.
