Suffolk Police Arrests: Exposing Oneself; Stealing Chinese Food

Arrests reported in the second precinct, June 23-July 1.

The following arrests were reported in the Suffolk Police second precinct between June 23 and July 1. An arrest does not indicate a conviction as all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  • A Huntington Station man was arrested in Huntington Station and charged with first degree robbery after he allegedly robbed a man at knifpoint on New York Avenue in Huntington Station on July 1, taking the man's wallet and a bag of Chinese food.
  • A Huntington Station man was arrested and charged with petty larceny after he allegedly stole water, cologne, toothpaste, deodorant, and orange juice from Kmart in Huntington Station on July 1.
  • A Syosset man was arrested in Huntington and charged with fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property after he allegedly tried to buy video games with a stolen credit card on May 16.
  • A Huntington Station man was arrested in Huntington Station on June 30 and charged with exposure of a person after he allegedly held his penis out in public view while peeing on a tree on East 2nd Street.
  • A Brooklyn man was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation after he was found to be driving westbound on Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station with a license suspended more than 10 times.  
  • A Brentwood man was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and unlawfully fleeing a police officer on June 29 in Huntington Station. Police allegedly found the man to be driving with a license suspended eight times. When they tried to pull him over on Columbia Street he sped up and ran through a stop sign. He came to a stop only after crashing into a tree and then fled on foot to Lowndes Avenue and Railroad where he was apprehended and arrested. 
  • A Centerport man was arrested on June 29 and charged with disorderly conduct and second degree harassement outside The Village Tavern in Huntington at 11:50 p.m.  He was restrained on the ground by security kicking and screaming. When police arrived, they told him to calm down and he then got up and allegedly pushed the officer. 
  • An East Northport man was arrested in Huntington Station on June 28 and charged with two counts of fourth degree grand larceny after he allegedly stole jewelry from the Commack Macy's and the Huntington Station Macy's valued at over $1,000. 
  • A Huntington Station man was charged with burglary on June 27 after he allegedly pushed open the front door of a  Wyman Avenue home and struck the person inside on the head with a weapon.
  • An East Northport man was arrested in East Northport and charged with second degree burglary after he allegedly broke into a home on Amherst Lane in Smithtown on April 29 and stole property. 
  • A Huntington Station woman was charged with fourth degree insurance fraud after she allegedly collected unemployment benefits for nine months while being employed.
