Suffolk Police Arrests: Assaulting the Elderly; Home Burglaries

Arrests reported in the second precinct between May 13 and 20.

The following arrests were reported in the Suffolk Police second precinct between May 13 and 20. An arrest does not indicate a conviction as all persons are presumed innocent until, and if, proven guilty in a court of law.

  • Kenneth Miller, 50, from Huntington was arrested in Huntington and charged with second degree assault after he allegedly assaulted a 77-year-old man at Huntington Library. The man complained of pain to his knee as a result of the assault and was transported to Huntington Hospital where he underwent surgery.
  • Peter Macaluso, 32, from Huntington Station was arrested in Huntington Station and charged with DWI with a previous conviction in 10 years. Macaluso was arrested after police stopped him at a checkpoint on New York Avenue around 1:25 a.m.
  • Reginald Williamson, 21, from Huntington Station was arrested in Huntington Station and charged with petty larceny and unlawful possession of marijuana after he allegedly stole two cans of Coors Light from Community Market on Depot Road.
  • Jose Alvarez from Huntington Station was arrested in Huntington Station and charged with unlawfully dealing alcohol to a child after he allegedly sold a 12 ounce can of Heineken to a 20-year-old.
  • Harish Suthar from Corona was arrested in Huntington Station and charged with unlawfully dealing alcohol to a child after he allegedly sold a 24 ounce can of Budweiser to a 20-year-old.
  • Jose Espondarosada, 23, from Huntington Station was arrested in Huntington Station and charged with second degree burglary and second degree burglary of a dwelling. Espondarosada allegedly entered through the unlocked front door of a property on East 14th street on May 15 and stole items; he also allegedly smashed the basement window of a home on Leyden Street in Huntington Station and stole a Dell computer.
  • Lethicia Gabriel, 28, from East Northport was arrested in South Huntington and charged with petty larceny after she allegedly stole two Polo shirts from Macy's at Walt Whitman Mall.
