A Fort Salonga man was arrested Monday after police said he shot a 21-year-old man at Napper Tandy's bar in Northport Sunday night.

Steven Reilly Jr. was placed in police custody Monday after authorities said he shot a man in the upper part of his leg after a physical alternation at 10:38 p.m. that night within the bar. Police said Reilly Jr. then fled the scene in a white Taurus.

Suffolk County Police arrested him at his home on Fresh Pond Road.

The 39-year-old was charged with assault in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and criminal use of a firearm in the second degree. He will be held overnight at the Second Precinct for his arraignment Tuesday at First District Court in Central Islip.

The victim, who was not identified, is a resident of East Northport.

This incident was investigated by Suffolk County Police in conjunction with Northport Village Police.

The reason is because the village has trouble keeping stores. 5 or 6 stores all closed in the past week or too. At this rate anything is better then an empty store
