Last Session Tonight on Police Exam

Suffolk police to offer exam in June but registration deadline is approaching.

Wednesday is the last of a series of sessions run by the to discuss requirements for the June police exam.

The session is set for 7 p.m. at the . The exam is scheduled for June 11; the deadline to file is March 31. The discussion is free and open to all.

The department says that new recruits start at $42,000 annually and that after five years,  the base salary is $108,608. Candidates must be between the ages of 19 and 34 on exam day unless they have a period of active military duty.
