UPDATE: Rite Aid Store Robbed

Police say 3 men held up cashier at Main Street store in Huntington.

The Rite Aid drugstore on West Main Street in Huntington was robbed early Saturday morning, Suffolk County Police said.

Three men entered the Rite Aid at about 5:10 a.m. and demanded money, police said. The cashier complied with their demands.

A passerby reported the parking lot was sectioned off by yellow police tape Saturday morning but by mid-day there was no sign of police activity.

Customers were coming and going from the store, which is open 24 hours a day.

A spokesman for Rite Aid's national office did not immediately return a call.

No further details were immediately available. Patch will update as more information comes in.

Would hope police have them on store surveilance video, and can quickly arrest the animals.

Again? Wasn't it just robbed a few months ago? That's scary, I hope the employees are all ok.

I wonder if the robbers had to wait on that perpetual long line they have there! Even during busy hours they always have only one or two cashiers. Thank God for CVS!
