Where is that, you ask? Well, in a way, it doesn't exist. It's the fictional bar in the script for "Something Borrowed," a new movie based on the Emily Griffin book of the same name starring Kate Hudson and Ginnifer Goodwin.

Duplicity Productions has been shooting in Manhattan for the past several days and is heading this way. In fact, some staff members are already here. They are transforming the Mill Pond House restaurant into Rushmore's Jetty, complete with a thatched roof, where filming will take place from approximately 6 p.m.  to 6 a.m. overnight Thursday to Friday, and again from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight Friday to Saturday, necessitating the closure of New York State Route 25A. Drivers are advised to take Centerport Road south to Center Shore Road north to return to 25A.

Michael DeRoker, location scout and coordinator for Centerport, said that the filmmakers will be creating all kinds of movie magic during the filming.

The production company describes the film as the story of Rachel, played by Goodwin, a single and overworked attorney trapped at a suffocating law firm. Rachel's best friend, Darcy, played by Hudson, is gorgeous and outgoing and has long had a knack for outshining Rachel. When Rachel hooks up with Darcy's handsome fiance on the night of her 30th birthday, she's faced with making a decision between true love or friendship.

"We're going to make it rain here on 25A and we're going to illuminate the Mill Pond because it's supposed to be a romantic night," he said, advising area residents to keep their distance for safety purposes. "In order to ensure everyone's safety, we really shouldn't have people milling about."

He said he found the location simply by driving around. "We try to find places that fit the script. It's obviously beautiful here but it also works with the story," De Roker said. "We take lots of photos and the director and production director visit those that they really like."

Exterior scenes will also be filmed on Mill Dam Road between Center Shore Road and Prospect Road from approximately noon to 6 p.m. Thursday with two houses, one on Prospect Road and one on Haven Court, being used to stage the lighting that will illuminate the pond.

The casting director for the film is currently seeking photo doubles for Goodwin and Hudson as well as "attractive club-goers," "young lawyers" and teenaged "skateboarders" to work as extras on the film, according to Extra Casting.

The film also starts John Krasinski, Colin Farrel and Colin Egglesfield.

Duplicity is just one of several production companies working on the film for Warner Brothers. It is being directed by Luke Greenfield.
