Police Seek Homicide Suspect

Man was slain outside his Huntington Station home while celebrating his birthday.

Crime Stoppers and the Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are asking for help in identifying and finding the person responsible for the death of a  man who was shot in Huntington Station.

On Sept. 7, Russell Peterman Jr. was shot several times while sitting in front of a residence at 165 Railroad St. in Huntington Station. He was celebrating his 25th birthday.

Four others were also struck by gunfire at the same location and were treated at a hospital and released.

Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
