Police Searching For 2 Thieves in Separate CVS Pharmacy Incidents

Two men wanted for petit larceny at East Jericho Turnpike store.

Police are searching for two men who they say stole merchandise from the South Huntington CVS Store at 2 East Jericho Turnpike in separate incidents in December.

An unknown black man on Oct. 26 attempted to steal several packages of cold medication off the shelves in the store, stuffing them into his coat before being chased from the store by another customer.

As the suspect ran away, he dropped the stolen merchandise on the ground, according to . The subject was described as being in his late 50s, wearing a dark blue knit cap.

In a separate incident Dec. 28, an unknown white male entered the CVS store and took two packs of cigarettes and scanned them at the self-service checkout counter. Video shows the subject putting the merchandise into his coat pocket and leaving the store without paying for the cigarettes, according to police.

The suspect is described as being approximately 30 years old, five feet six inches tall with a balding but shaved head and a goatee.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential, according to police. A cash reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
