Police Investigating Dix Hills Arson at Occupied Night Club

The entrance to a nightclub was set on fire in May, police said.

Suffolk County police are seeking the public’s help regarding an arson investigation in Dix Hills.

Detectives say that in the early morning hours of May 27, a man was asked to leave the Crazy Diamond Club, located at 1850 Route 25. Shortly after, someone poured gasoline around the front door of the club and set the front of the building on fire while there were people inside at about 1:25 a.m.

Arson Squad detectives are looking to speak to the man shown in the accompanying photos. He is described as Hispanic, in his mid to late 20s, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, clean shaven, with dark hair and a thin build. The man speaks with a heavy Spanish accent, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. 

All calls will be kept confidential, police said.
