Most States, if not all, have weak laws when it comes to the horrendous things these monsters do to Domesticated Animals. New York is pretty much on par with most other states. "Laws of New York Agriculture and Markets ARTICLE 26 - ANIMALS Section 353-a. Aggravated cruelty to animals. This is a Felony. A defendant convicted of this offense shall be sentenced pursuant to paragraph (b) of subdivision one of section 55.10 of the penal law provided, however, that any term of imprisonment imposed for violation of this section shall be a definite sentence, which may not exceed two years." Considering the common practice of plea bargaining, this alleged animal assaulter will likely not do jail time for this heinous act.
