Police: Dix Hills Man Allows 200 Teens to Drink at His Home, One Hospitalized

Krzysztof Gasiorowski is charged with violating Suffolk County's Social Host Law.

Police say a Dix Hills man allowed more than 200 teenagers to consume alcohol at his home Friday night and now he is charged with violating Suffolk County's Social Host Law.

Officers responded to the home of Krzysztof Gasiorowski at 25 Curtis Path at 11:14 p.m. after receiving a complaint that teenagers were drinking, police said.

Officers observed about 200-250 teens consuming alcohol; one of those teens, a 14-year-old girl was taken to Huntington Hospital "due to excessive alcohol intoxication," police said.

Police did not have any information Saturday as to the condition of the girl because of privacy laws, but a police spokesperson said "it wasn’t presumed life threatening."

Police contacted the parents of several intoxicated youths Friday night to respond and pick up their children from the Gasiorowski home.

Gasiorowski, 48, was issued a summons for violating the Social Host Law. The law holds adults responsible for knowingly allowing parties for individuals under the age of 21 to occur at a place under their control, whether or not they provide alcohol.

A first offense of the Social Host Law carries a fine of up to $500.

$500 is just a slap on the wrist, maybe we should have stricter consequences

$500? What if one of these children drove home and had an accident? Killed themselves or someone else? What are we waiting for? Society must hold these adults responsible for their actions. And. A $500 fine is a slap on the wrist!

Maybe someone Can get the story straight. The teens were drinking against his rule. He told them they were not allowed and the children ignored him and he called the police to help him and you see why happens. Our pos law enforcers blame the one who calls for help because he was not allowing alcohol of any sort. Sickening how our society is.

First mistake is allowing 200 people at your house...Why didn't he call the police at 50 people? If you cannot control the number of kids you cannot control the drinking...What parent in their right mind would drop their 14 year old at a house with that many people.....Stupid stupid people...
