A Toyota sedan traveling northbound became tangled in wires on Huntington Bay Road Tuesday.
The incident occurred after a large truck, traveling in front of the vehicle, struck a limb which pulled the live wires onto the roadway. The wires got caught up in the tires of the vehicle as it drove over of them.
The driver of the car was instructed by first responders from Halesite Fire Department to remain in the vehicle until Long Island Power Authority personnel arrived. Fire and LIPA officials eventually freed the vehicle and driver from danger.
No injuries were reported.
