Pedestrian Killed Thursday in Huntington Station

Early morning accident on Jericho Turnpike kills unidentified 45-year-old male.

A pedestrian was killed in a Huntington Station accident Thursday morning.

Lewis Weill was driving a 2005 Saab westbound in the right lane of Jericho Turnpike, east of Evergreen Avenue, in Huntington Station when his vehicle struck a pedestrian at 4:45 a.m., police say. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

Weill, 64, of Commack, was not injured. The identification of the pedestrian, who is described as a 45-year old white male, is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, according to police.
