Pedestrian Killed in Hit and Run Crash

Police searching for driver involved in Huntington Station accident Sunday.

A Huntington Station man was killed in a hit-and-run accident Sunday.

According to , Cesar Gudiel was walking in the roadway along New York Avenue near E. 21st Street at approximately 7:35 p.m. when he was struck by a car traveling northbound on New York Avenue.

Police say the car continued to travel northbound on New York Avenue after striking the victim.

Gudiel, of 138 Columbia St., was transported to Huntington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The car is described as a white sedan with white New York state registration plates and possibly a rear spoiler.
