One Dead, Three Injured in Huntington Station Shooting

Detectives continue to investigate a Tuesday shooting that left a 25-year-old man dead.

Detectives from the Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad are investigating a shooting that left a 25-year-old man dead and three others injured late Tuesday night.

The shooting victim, Russell Peterman, whose address is unknown at this time, was talking with three other men on the front stoop of 165 Railroad St. in Huntington Station when an unknown man walked up to the group and began shooting at approximately 10:55 p.m. on Tuesday. Peterman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said a second victim was shot in the abdomen and two additional men suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the suspect fled the scene after the shooting. An investigation of this incident is ongoing.
