A woman accused of driving drunk after an accident that left her two children injured is due back in court Tuesday.
Laquita Brooks, 39, of Wyandanch was arrested Thursday night after her car struck a signs and a tree on Dix Hills Road near Dellwood Drive. Her daughter, 7, suffered a serious head injury and was taken to Cohen Children's Hospital. Her son, 5, was slightly injured.
She was released on $2,500 bond on Friday. She faces multiple counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated, and child endangerment.
