Man Arrested For Local Burglaries

A Lake Ronkonkoma man charged with burglaries in Huntington Station, Northport and Fort Salonga.

 

Police arrested a Lake Ronkonkoma man Monday for allegedly burglarizing a house in Huntington Station, as well as houses in Fort Salonga and Northport Village.

The New York District of the United States Marshal's Fugitive Task Force located Thomas Hluboky yesterday and attempted to arrest him on Pine Aire Drive in Bay Shore at approximately 5 p.m. 

Hluboky, who was wanted on a parole warrant, unsuccessfully tried to flee authorities by ramming his 2002 Mercedes sedan into a vehicle driven by a U.S. Marshal. Hluboky resisted arrest and a Taser had to be deployed to subdue him.

After further investigation by Second Squad detectives, Hluboky was charged with Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree and Resisting Arrest, as well as one count of Burglary 2nd Degree and two counts of Burglary 3rd Degree for burglaries he committed in Fort Salonga and Huntington Station. Northport Police also charged Hluboky, with one count of Burglary 3rd Degree for a burglary committed there.

Hluboky, 32, whose last known address is 25 Uhl Drive, Lake Ronkonkoma, will be arraigned today at First District Court in Central Islip..
