Man Accused of DWI With Child in Car

Huntington resident faces felony charge.

 A Huntington man was arrested Sunday night after Suffolk County police said he was driving while intoxicated with his 21-month-old daughter in the vehicle.

Police gave this account:

Milton Vasquez was driving a 1998 Nissan Altima east on Pulaski Road, near Albermarle Avenue in Huntington Station  about 11:05 p.m. when he was pulled over  for driving erratically.  The Second Precinct officer determined that he was intoxicated. The child was unharmed.

Second Squad detectives charged Vasquez, 27, of 73 Lafayette St., Huntington, with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child, a felony under Leandra’s Law, as well as endangering the welfare of a child.

Vasquez is scheduled for arraignment Monday at First District Court in Central Islip.
