Huntington Man Killed in Head-On Collision
Robert Visser, 53, was killed after his vehicle collided head on with another on Route 25A in Centerport.
From police reports: Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that claimed the life of a Huntington man Wednesday, January 27, 2010.
Robert Visser was driving a 1996 Honda Civic westbound on Rt. 25A, also known as East Main Street in that stretch of road, when his vehicle collided head-on with a 2007 Mercedes Benz C280, driven by Gaby Gold, in front of 420 East Main, Centerport a private residence near Fido's Fences, at 7:25 p.m.
Visser, 53, of 91 Glenna Little Trail, was pronounced dead at the scene and was taken to the Suffolk Medical Examiners Office. Gold, 45, of 33 Sunken Meadow Road, Fort Salonga, was transported to Huntington Hospital by the Centerport Fire Department.

The vehicles were impounded for a safety check.
