Residents of the Greenlawn Fire District will be asked to vote Tuesday on the purchase of a new firetruck.
The district proposes spending up to $800,000 on a 77-foot Quint fire truck that would be paid for by trading in a 1994 pumper, use of $360,000 from a reserver fund, and borrowing up to $400,000 through an installment plan.
The vote is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. at the Greenlawn Firehouse at 23 Boulevard Ave., Greenlawn All district residents registered to vote as of Aug.26 are eligible to vote.
