Huntington Bay June Crime Report

Village police chief reports smooth holiday weekend, few major incidents last month.

The Village of Huntington Bay filed 72 police reports during the month of June with 24 summonses issued, according to a monthly report given by Police Chief Ray Hubbs at a regular board of trustees meeting at village hall Monday.

Other than a DUI arrest, the Fourth of July holiday weekend went relatively smoothly, according to Hubbs. "I was somewhat nervous about it, but it went by ok."

Hubbs said stepped up activity on Bay Road has made a difference. "The person that complained has been very happy with our stepped up enforcemnet, he said.
