Exec Who Fell to Death Was Whitman Grad

Jennifer Rosoff killed when 17th-floor balcony railing gives way.

A woman who fell to her death from an 17th-floor balcony in New York Thursday morning was a Huntington native and a 1996 graduate of Whitman High School.

Jennifer Rosoff, who was 35, was director of sales at Triplelift, an online advertising firm. The New York Times reported that she was seated on the balcony railing of the building at 400 E. 57th St. when it gave way, hurling her to the ground.

She previously worked for several magazines, including The New Yorker and Cosmopolitan.

After graduating from Whitman, she went to Tulane, where she received her BA degree in communications.

"Jen was a great girl with her whole life ahead of her," said Michael Koch, who graduated with her. "My heart goes out to her family and all of her loved ones."
