Car Slams Into Pole Near Whitman Mall
Minor accident causes traffic delays just before noon Friday.
A late-morning car accident haulted traffic just before lunch time Friday on Route 110 near the Whitman Mall in Huntington Station.
According to emergency responders at the scene, the driver of a white Mazda lost control at about 11:15 a.m. and struck a telephone pole on the side of the road causing damage to the front end of the vehicle.
Both the driver and the passenger were transported to Huntington Hospital by the Huntington Community First Aid Squad with what seemed to be no serious or life threatening injuries, according to those at the scene.
