Driver Injured on Southdown Road

Car crashes into utility pole.

The driver of a Lincoln Town Car traveling north Tuesday on Southdown Road near John Daves Lane lost control of the vehicle and slammed into a utility pole, snapping it at its midpoint, law enforcement officials said.

 It took rescue more than 30 minutes to extract the driver from the vehicle. The driver was taken to with serious head, neck and back injuries
