Driver Injured in Jericho Turnpike Accident

Police say westbound van hit two parked cars.

The driver of a  2005 Dodge struck two parked cars on Jericho Turnpike,  just west of Dix Hills Road, Thursday night.

Police said the vehicle was westbound when it veered off the road and hit the cars. 

The driver of the Dodge was taken to Huntington Hospital and treated for injuries. Police said no one else was injured.

Westbound traffic was blocked for some time while fire fighters cleared the roadway.
