Driver Charged With DWI After Van Crashes Into Huntington Station Home

Christian Paleta-Cordero, 26, is arrested after van crashes into home on West Hills Road.

A Huntington Station man is charged with driving while intoxicated after the van he was driving crashed into a Huntington Station home Saturday night.

Christian Paleta-Cordero, 26, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet van shortly after 11 p.m. when it crashed into a house on West Hills Road and 8th Avenue, police said.

No one inside the heavily damaged house was injured, according to Mike DePasquale, second assistant chief with the Huntington Manor Fire Department, which responded to the crash.

DePasquale said Paleta-Cordero was transported to Huntington Hospital by the Huntington Community First Aid Squad with non-life threatening injuries.

Paleta-Cordero was later charged with DWI.
