Hauppauge
The HSBC bank on Motor Parkway in Hauppauge was robbed Wednesday afternoon, according to Suffolk Police.
Police say a man entered the bank, located at 660 Motor Parkway, approached a teller, and produced a note demanding cash around 2 p.m.
The teller complied with the demand and gave the man cash from the drawer, police said. The robber fled on foot eastbound on Motor Parkway.
Smithtown
Cristina Fronzoni, 30, of Bohemia, and Francisco Maldonado, 33, of Bohemia, were arrested on Oct. 11 by police in connection with multiple Nesconset robberies.
Police said Fronzoni and Maldonado stole landscaping equipment from a parked truck at the Nesconset Public Storage facility off Route 347 some time between 6 p.m. on Oct 8 to 10:45 a.m. on Oct. 9. The equipment is valued to be worth more than $4,000.

Police said the pair also is believed to have stolen a tool set from a storage unit at Public Storage in Nesconset between Oct. 8 and Oct. 9. The tool set is worth more than $1,000, according to police reports.
Fronzoni and Maldonado allegedly stole a leaf blower, three weed wackers and other landscaping supplies from a landscaping trailer parked on Southern Boulevard in Nesconset between 6 p.m. Oct. 8 and 10:45 a.m. on Oct. 10, according to police. The value of this equipment was estimated to be more than $1,000.

Fronzoni was arrested Oct. 11 and faces two felony counts of third-degree grand larceny and one felony count of fourth-degree grand larceny.
Maldonado was arrested Oct. 11 and is charged with two felony counts of third-degree grand larceny and one felony count of fourth-degree grand larceny.
A man brandishing a note demanding cash robbed the Deer Park branch of New York Commercial Bank at 720 Grand Blvd. last Friday, Suffolk County Police said.
According to police, the bank was robbed at 3:20 p.m. whan a man, described as being white, in his 40s, unshaven, thin, fair-skinned and about 5 foot 7 inches tall, handed the teller the note. The bank teller grabbed an undisclosed amount from the drawer and robber fled with the cash.
West Islip
Suffolk police are looking for a thief who stole over a dozen 15-inch turtles, two large koi fish, a chicken and some statuary pond décor from a West Islip exotic pet store earlier this month.
The theft at B.T.J’s Jungle, which occurred on October 7 according to the store’s surveillance video, was reported to police this weekend after owners realized the animals and items were missing.Lindenhurst
A Lindenhurst man and two other men have been charged with multiple counts of identity theft and possession of stolen property after the Suffolk County District Attorney's office unveiled a car-selling operation that involved forged credit and identity cards.
