Update: Crash Kills Man at Park Avenue and Jericho

Motorcyclist and car in collision.

A motorcyclist was killed at the intersection of East Jericho Turnpike and Park Avenue Sunday evening.

Witnesses said the young man was riding his bike and collided with a sedan.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Update April 16 at 8:50 a.m.:

Police continue to investigate a motor vehicle crash that killed a motorcyclist Sunday in Huntington.

According to police, Karen Brandine, 53, of Huntington Station was driving her 2011 Toyota Camry southbound on Park Ave. While making a left turn onto eastbound Jericho Turnpike at about 6 p.m., a male motorcyclist, traveling northbound on a 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle, crashed into the Toyota.

The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The identity of the driver is being withheld by police pending positive identification and notification to next of kin.
